5.8.18 – “If we put today’s disciples to the same test that the Lord did I wonder what would be the result. In His day when He preached hard things, “…they left Him and followed no more.” Jesus spoke of self-denial, cross bearing and following. He doesn’t say that we will be poor disciples if we don’t do these things; He says we cannot be disciples at all. Sift today’s disciples with the three cannots and I wonder what the leftovers would look like? We are called to full and total surrender to the Lord.
