Trail Mix - 5.3.18

5.3.18 - “Lord, give me patience and I want it now!” is the way we often ask for this wonderful fruit of the Spirit but we must let “…patience have her perfect work.” Fruit doesn’t grow overnight and neither does our patience. This attribute is the key to almost everything in life. A wise man said, “That all things come to he who waits.” It is no accident that patience, forbearance and longsuffering are mentioned so many times in Scripture. S. E. Trail
My prayer for you today is that you would wait for the “fruit” to ripen!

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. KJV

“A wife invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said, 'Would you like to say the blessing?' 'I wouldn't know what to say,' the girl replied. 'Just say what you hear Mommy say,' the wife answered. The daughter bowed her head and said, 'Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?”
