Trail Mix - 2.14.19

February 14, 2019 Gleanings from Vance Havner - “There are two kinds of wealth in the world; the riches of Christ with its reproach or the treasures of Egypt. Moses chose the former rather than the latter and laid up treasures in heaven. He paid a high price for his choice in the here and now but received a great reward in the hereafter. You can be rich in Christ or you can get rich in Egypt but you can’t do both. The choice is “God or mammon!” S. E. Trail
My prayer for you today is for you to make the right choice, that you will “seek Him first” and last and always!
Weekly Memory Verse Challenge - Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
“Two cannibals meet one day. The first cannibal says, "You know, I just can't seem to get a tender Missionary. I've baked them, I've roasted them, I've stewed them, I've barbecued them, I've tried every sort of marinade. I just cannot seem to get them tender." The second cannibal asks, "What kind of Missionary do you use?" The other replied, "You know, the ones that hang out at that place at the bend of the river. They have those brown cloaks with a rope around the waist and they're sort of bald on top with a funny ring of hair on their heads." "Ah, ha!" the second cannibal replies. "No wonder ... those are friars!".
