Trail Mix - 2.11.19

February 11, 2019 – “Christian friend, are you in accord with the world or in discord with the world? Alexander McLaren said, “The measure of our discord with the world is the measure of our accord with the Savior.” Make no mistake, the world hates the name of Jesus and the world will hate you if you really love Him. Many churches today are pursuing a program that seeks to make the world feel “comfortable.” There can be no “concord” between Christ and Belial.” S. E. Trail
My prayer for you today is for you to “steel” your heart against the antagonism of the world, if you live for Christ it will come.
Weekly Memory Verse Challenge - Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor’s office. After the check-up, the doctor took the wife aside and said, “If you don’t do the following, your husband might not make it.”
      1. “Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast and send him off to work in a good mood.”
      2. “At lunch time, make him a warm, nutritious meal and put him in a good frame of mind          before he goes back to work.”
      3. “For dinner, fix an especially nice meal and don’t burden him with household chores.”
      4. “Satisfy his every whim.”

On the way home, the husband asked his wife what the doctor had said. She replied “You’re not going to make it.” ChristiansUnite.com
