26, 2019 – “Faith is not
a sure road to health, wealth and prosperity as some latter day prophets teach.
In Hebrews 11 we have a roll call of faith and the faithful and two things jump
out of the text. First, “…and others were tortured…” and second, “…and these
all, having obtained a good report through faith…” They all received a good
“report” but God’s plan for them didn’t include an “easy road” to travel. The old
hymn declares, “It’s not an easy road, we are traveling to heaven, for many are
the thorns on the way…” Many a saint has had to walk through the fire. Some
were delivered down here and some were delivered up there but all were
ultimately brought through.’ S. E. Trail
My prayer for you today is for you to
receive a “good report card” from our Lord.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he
that sent him. KJV
“Sometimes
women are overly suspicious of their husbands. When Adam stayed out very late
for a few nights, Eve became upset. "You're running around with other women,"
she charged. "You're being unreasonable," Adam responded.
"You're the only woman on earth." The quarrel continued until Adam
fell asleep, only to be awakened by someone poking him in the chest. It was Eve. "What do you think you're doing?" Adam demanded. "Counting
your ribs," said Eve.”
