4.17.18 – “What happens to a believer when your
“salt” has lost its savor and you’ve left your first love and you’ve hid your
light under a “bushel”? John, who knew a little something about love admonishes
us to “…love not the world, nor the things in the world…”Loving the world will
robe you of your “flavor”, your “favor” and your “savor”! The answer to this
problem is in Revelation 2 where John writes, “remember, repent and repeat”! Vance Havner
My prayer for you today is for you to
shine your light for the entire world to see “Jesus in you,” the hope of glory!
Mark
12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy
strength: this is the first
commandment. KJV
“A young man called his mother and
announced excitedly that he had just met the woman of his dreams. Now what
should he do? His mother had an idea: "Why don't you send her flowers, and
on the card invite her to your place for a home-cooked meal?" He thought
this was a great strategy and arranged a date for a week later. His mother
called the day after the big date to see how things had gone. "The evening
was a disaster," he moaned. "Why, didn't she come over?" asked
his mother. "Oh, she came over, but she refused to cook."
