“There are a lot of "keep your chin up" and "look up"
teachers out there today but the value of the up look depends on what you are
looking at. It won't help if you’re up look is a forced optimism staring at a
blue sky. You’re up look won't change your outlook unless you are looking at
the right thing. "Look and live...look for His return...looking unto
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." The value of an up look lies
in its object. "Turn your eyes upon Jesus...and the things of earth will
grow strangely dim…in the light of His glory and grace" S. E. Trail
My
prayer for you today is that you will look up, “…for your redemption draweth
nigh!”

Corinthians 13:12 For now
we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but
then shall I know even as also I am known. KJV
“Negotiations
between union members and their employer were at an impasse. The union denied
that their workers were flagrantly abusing their contract's sick-leave
provisions. One morning at the bargaining table, the company's chief negotiator
held aloft the morning edition of the newspaper, "This man," he
announced, "called in sick yesterday!" There on the sports page was a
photo of the supposedly ill employee, who had just won a local golf tournament
with an excellent score. The silence in the room was broken by a union
negotiator. "Wow," he said. "Just think of what kind of score he
could have had if he hadn't been sick!"
