10.19.18 – “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help,” Isaiah 31:1 When times are hard we are tempted to go to Egypt for help! Several O.T. saints found out the hard way that depending on Egypt is a mistake. God can meet all our needs in the Promised Land even in a time of drought. It is better to trust God in a dry land than to go to Egypt for its garlic, onions and fleshpots. No side trips are necessary.
