December
26, 2019 – Vance Havner said, “You can make your
way through the “hubbub” of life and still keep in touch with heaven if your
ear is “tuned” to the voice of God. If we are listening for God to speak we
will hear Him. Samuel was listening and God spoke. The Psalmist wrote, “I will
hear what God the Lord will speak.” Psalm 85:8 He was listening for the
Shepherd’s voice. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.” Are we listening for
His voice? If we are, He will speak! S.

My prayer for you today is for you to
have a “listening ear” to hear the voice of the Master!
Joshua
24:24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our
God will we serve, and his voice will we obey. KJV
“Christmas was over, so Rudolph had a
chance to do something he had wanted to do for a long time. He made an
appointment with a plastic surgeon because he was so sensitive about his looks.
However, it wasn't his glowing proboscis that he wanted changed. He was proud
of his nose and the help he had given Santa because of it. No, he was sensitive
about his long ears which were much more prominent than the ears of the average
reindeer. So one week after Christmas, he underwent reconstructive surgery, and
since that time, January 1st has been celebrated as ... New Ears Day.”
