March
9, 2019 – Gleanings from Vance Havner - “At what
point in life do we begin to bare the “much fruit,” that Jesus spoke about? It
is when we come to the end of our strivings and live an “exchanged life” and
not just a changed life! Jesus said that if we would be His disciple then we
must deny self and crucify ourselves daily. “Much fruit” comes at that point
when we empty ourselves and become totally dependent on Christ. Jesus taught
self-execution not self- exaltation! Amen! Paul said that it was Christ living
in him that was “the hope of glory.” S.

“present” and “president” in you!

Memory Verse Challenge - Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls. 30 For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light. KJV
“A dog ran into a butcher shop and grabbed a
roast off the counter. Fortunately, the butcher recognized the dog as belonging
to a neighbor of his. The neighbor happened to be a lawyer. Incensed at the
theft, the butcher called up his lawyer neighbor and said, "Hey, if your
dog stole a roast from my butcher shop, would you be liable for the cost of the
meat?" The lawyer replied, "Of course, how much was the roast?"
"$7.98." said the butcher. A few days later the butcher received a
check in the mail for $7.98. Attached to it was an invoice that read: Legal Consultation
Service: $150” ChristiansUnite.com
